THE HOUSE

Like a little Noah we are in a boat, frightened by the flood, but full of hope in the future.
Le BATEAU looks at climate change from a vantage point, admiring the landscapes we are fond of and determined to save.
The wooden and steel keel set on the trunk of a domestic pine in the Florentine countryside, welcomes two guests for a planetary journey: the horizons that we consider context are not limited to the Tuscan hills, but reach from the Amazon to the Poli, wrapped in a single climatic embrace.

THE TREE

The Pinus pinea on Via Ugo Foscolo, a few steps from Porta Romana, grows free, with a large root system.
In nature, the domestic pine has an excellent resistance as the taproot gives the plant a remarkable solidity without the constraints given by the city road surfaces. The evergreen "umbrella" foliage contrasts the wind in an aerodynamic way, minimizing turbulence and protecting the boat from the weather in any season. In addition, its edible fruits and combustible resin provide an excellent resource for the fearless sailors who will challenge the rise of the seas.
