Café littéraire
Once upon a time,
In a small appliances shop in small three-story building in a small protestant valley in small Country called Italy, Onde.Line started digging out stories from walls and ceilings.
Old black and white pictures came out, a couple of fireplaces and the story of Giuseppe.
We imagine Giuseppe as a grumpy family man, who took little or no pleasure from leaving his shop and taking holidays. He started building it in 1957, sleeping under the stars, with no roof, few beams and four walls around.
He sold lights and lamps and kitchen appliances and electric cables and toys and dishes and glasses... you get the idea. For almost 50 years furnished houses with the latest technological products and fashionable kitchen items to the whole Val Pellice.
And than the damper closed one last time.
The traditional bookfair that takes place every year painted the closed shop.
The happy ending is coming though... since Onde.Line found this story and will bring it to life again, with new lamps and new appliances, but with an original atmosphere.
On the ground floor and upper floors a bistrot with holiday apartments are opening soon, following the desire of three small nephews and a cook to continue grand-papa's work.
