Prayer gabions
Prayer Gabions is a device to raise awareness the public to the reuse and recycling of resources through a meditative and tactile action. The scaffolding structure supports 5 gabions containing various aggregates and construction rubble. The upper part, which recalls traditional Tibetan prayer wheels, is adorned with a green roof planted with spontaneous vegetation typical of urban environments. Through the repetitive and never finished gesture of rotating the gabions, the visitor questions the temporariness and lability of the building world, in continuous transformation and subjected to the slow but powerful/incessant process of reappropriation of nature.
The work itself will then be dismantled and reused to complete the tactile paths in an educational farm, until the last stage in which it will be reuse into organic and construction products, as initially intended.
